Lizzie Golden Retriever Pacific, MO

Lizzie is an English Cream Golden Retriever. She came from a breeder who had to give up her dogs due to illness in the family. The breeder placed her with an individual who kept her outside because she was not house trained. She was reclaimed and is now with Dirks Fund and she is heartworm positive. She is not yet available for adoption, and it will be some time before she is ready. She is right in the middle of her heartworm treatment and currently in a foster home (with a possibility of her foster family adopting her) where she is learning what the good life is all about. Lizzie requires at least a 4 foot fence.

Lizzie is 2 years old. Her current weight is around 60 pounds.

The minimum donation for Lizzie is $525.00. This includes all of her vetting. If you are interested in Lizzie, please fill out an online application through our website.

We are currently only open by appointment only. Due to the recent pandemic, we are looking at the safety of our volunteers that are there to take care of the dogs. Only serious inquiries will be considered.

Then meet her at the shelter during adoption hours on Saturdays and Sundays 10 - 2pm. All members of the household need to meet the dog you are interested in. Vet records for any current or previous pets need to be provided. If all goes well, a home visit will be done prior to adoption.
