Hi am Lizy the baby Hippo! I am super low key and just love to be with my people. If you like to snuggle, I am your girl! Life hasn't always been easy to me. I lived most of my life in Mexico and my family abandoned me outside an independent rescuer in Mexico. I had TVT (transmissible venereal tumors) in my genital area, cropped ears, a cut tongue, face full of scars, only a few teeth. Ive spent the last few years separated from the other dogs because I was once considered high energy. I was transported to the PNW and am now living with 5 other dogs and some cool foster parents in Battle Ground, WA. My foster family just loves me and doesn't have any complaints about me. I would love to have a yard, I like to gallop around. In Mexico, I slept outside, before coming to the PNW I hadn't slept in a home or a bed. Let me tell you - there is no going back. I LOVE dog beds, human beds and human laps. My foster family adds some water to my food to make it a bit softer, i've mastered the doggie door and I love people. We are a tiny foster based rescue with no shelter or facility. Our rescue partner Rossi lives in Ciudad Constitución, Baja Mexico with 175 dogs. Each month we focus on a different group. In December our focus is Large dogs.
