LITA Shepherd & Labrador Retriever Mix Thousand Oaks, CA

LITA (short for “Pastelita”), a medium-sized German Shepherd/Lab mix is about 2 years old and just wants to love and please you. She loves taking walks and walks nicely on a leash. She enjoys playing with her toys, chasing squirrels, and running on the beach.

Lita loves people and hanging out quietly with them. She is a little shy at first but enjoys making new friends and is very affectionate once she gets to know and trust you. She is a calm and easy going house guest in her foster home..

This sweet girl is continually rebounding from a tough past - she was hit by a car, found in a ditch and taken to the county shelter. AFLAR (We) rescued her and placed her in a foster home. She has fully recovered from her injuries and she has blossomed into the sweet loving dog she is.

She will be a great friend and companion to some lucky person. She wants to be close to her person, however, she is fine being left alone to await your return.

Lita will do best in a calm home, with a patient person or experienced dog owner. She would be fine as the only pet in the home or with a mellower dog. She has met other dogs in boarding and doggie day care and does fine with calm, quieter dogs and senior dogs that don’t demand a lot of attention from her.

This little girl is special, and she is waiting for that special person to open their heart and home to her. Is it you?
