Meet Lion
We believe Lion is approximately 1.5 years old, he seemed to be around 9 months - 1 year when he was rescued in November 2023. He is currently being treated for Lyme disease, which he will continue to test positive for after his course of antibiotics. He has not shown any symptoms, however, his blood testing showed a high number of antibodies, which generally indicates an active infection. He is also being treated for a skin infection at this time.
Lion is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He is heartworm negative and has been on flea/tick/heartworm prevention since under our care.
Lion is starting to learn basic obedience as he never received the foundation as a puppy. He was very withdrawn when first rescued but since has come out of his shell and is much more comfortable now that he is around Willow again. He is a submissive dog but does like to wrestle and play a bit rough. He is learning how to walk on leash and not to jump on people.
He will do best in a home with other dogs. May not be the best fit for a home with small children until he can get his jumping under control.
