Meet Linus
Linus a is sweet, mellow, loving and loyal 9-year-old Shih Tzu. He adores people. He attaches very quickly and adapts quickly. He cuddles big-time, in return for back or belly scratches. He gets along with other dogs, preferably female dogs, but not with cats. Children are ok too, if they are not too young. For example, Linus was observed with a 5-year-old, who was respectful of him and didn’t climb all over him or yank on his tail like a toddler might. They got along famously!
Linus can also get kind of barky when he’s bored, wants to go for a walk, or simply misses you. And even though infrequent, he also barks when other dogs are approaching. Sometimes, too, his excitability gets the better of him and if you try to physically restrain or grab him unexpectedly from behind, he might react with a bite. This is the part where, you, as the owner, must establish yourself as the “pack leader.” Take his leash and remove him from the situation and you’re good to go.
We think Linus' positives far outweigh the negatives. What gets you is the love and loyalty he shows and, of course, the way he shows it with his big, brown, beautiful eyes.
