***Linus will be ready to go into an adoptive home after 8/18/2020***
An Animal Control officer found Linus and his two sisters running loose, covered in ticks, during a conditions call and there was a fourth mixed breed in a small grate on the porch. The owner was notified of the impound, but wasn't interested in reclaiming their four dogs. The mixed breed was adopted, but rescue was the triplet's only chance at life as pit bulls are not adopted out to the public in Henry County. We were able to secure fosters for each of the triplets and they got their freedom ride on July 14, 2020.
As a sweet, goofy, and charming puppy, Linus quickly wins over everyone he meets. Linus loves bones of all kind and he often carries a small, stuffed crab around his foster home. If he's not curled up on the couch, you can find him on a walk around the neighborhood. For being a young dog, he's good on a leash and doesn't pull much. He has shown no leash reactivity to dogs or the outside cats. He gets excited when he sees people, but has quickly learned to sit and wait rather than pull on the leash. Linus is learning to love his crate slowly but surely and is about 90% housebroken. He is not very food motivated, but he is very smart and fun to train! He is learning sit, stay, down, bed, and crate and is starting to master them like a rockstar. Linus is also learning what he can and cannot chew and is easily redirected to an appropriate chew toy. Given his age, Linus is still quite active and does require a good amount of exercise to help get out some of his puppy energy. A thirty minute walk, two or three times a day is usually enough to tucker him out and lead him to the couch for some major snuggles. Linus is the only dog in his foster home, but would do well in a forever family with other furry friends. He is still opening up in foster care, but is proving to be an awesome little guy (with the BEST ears!) that you will completely fall in love with!
