Meet Lindsay

**********ADOPTION PENDING********

Lindsay's foster parents named this sweet girl after the “Run, Lindsay, Run” play in the 1980 Georgia/Florida football game. (Lindsay Scott scored the game-winning TD and Georgia went on to win the national championship that year.) This Pit Bull/Boxer mix weighs 48 pounds and is just shy of a year old.

Her foster parents say she is doing well with potty training and can hold it through the night. She is comfortable in her crate at night and only cries a little bit before she settles in. She'll be right at home in no time!

Being so young, Lindsay has a lot to learn — however, she can pick up new skills and is eager to train. She loves hot dogs, cheese, and peanut butter, and seems to be fairly treat motivated. Lindsay occasionally naps in the guest room during the day, saving up her energy for playtime and cuddle sessions with her humans. She does well on a leash, enjoying her walks and is easy to redirect.

Lindsay appears to LOVE other dogs and would do well in a home where she can burn off energy with another fur friend. Because of social distancing, Lindsay has not been cat tested and we do not know how she is with young children.

This little gal loves her toys. She is a chewer and appreciates ropes and bones — anything to get her jaws moving. Lindsay's fosters have not seen any aggression, just pure puppy mentality waiting to be molded into a well-behaved forever pup. With a little training and a lot of love, Lindsay could be your “touchdown!"

We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog. Come to the show to find out if this dog is the right fit for you — it's helpful to bring all family members and current dogs.

Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don’t know their background. We encourage you to base your decision on individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on our guess.

Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near the Chicagoland area. Questions? Email us at adoptions@sccrescue.org. Hope to see you become part of the SCCR family!
