Meet Lincoln! He is a handsome 7 month old 30 pound English Setter. He was surrendered to the animal shelter when one of his family members developed an allergy to him. Poor guy! We are just determined to find an amazing home for this sweet little boy.
Lincoln will need an active family who will be devoted to him and his needs. Setters are athletic dogs and need exercise and stimulation. Lincoln is an indoor companion dog. His foster family is working on his house-training and basic obedience and he will need a family that is willing to continue with his training.
Lincoln's adoption donation is $200 which includes his neuter, up to date vaccinations, microchip, deworming, and flea and tick prevention. If you are interested in adopting Austin, please review the information below!
Dog Adoption Guidelines:
You must fill out an application to be considered for adoption. You can fill out an application at www.forthepets.org/adoption.htm or email to email@example.com for an application.
It is not a "first come" process; we try to "match" the dog with the family for a FOREVER home. We process all applications at once and take the dog off the site, place on adoption pending status until a decision is made. If a suitable home is not found, the dog returns to active status.
The dog adoption process can take about two weeks; we are a small group of volunteers who have full time jobs.
We do not fly or ship our dogs due to heat/cold concerns and safety issues. If you are willing to fly out AND fly the dog back in the cabin (size restrictions) with you, that would be considered.
If you apply to adopt a dog and are chosen, you must come to Murray, KY to pick up the dog and fill out the paperwork in person.
We do adopt out-of-state, but we do not transport.
We can't provide individual "meet and greet" sessions for each applicant. If chosen to adopt, you will have time to visit with the dog before signing any paperwork and will not be committed to adopt if you choose not to at that time.
