Meet Lilac
Lilac is a beautiful young girl of around 3-4 years, and weighing in the 40lbs range.
She's a rather shy girl, who takes time to warm up to people (though meatballs helps her make friends more easily!), so she will need a patient family that is prepared to let her decompress at her own speed, preferably in a quiet environment, so no noisy, busy streets.
(She was part of a large haul of dogs that were kept outdoors on chains and were rescued en masse by Animal Control at the end of 2021, then taken to various LA County Shelters, and from there, we rescued them).
She does not show any signs of aggression, but her shyness may make her more inclined to retreat, so she needs people that will help her expand her territories slowly and calmly.
She is currently on a board and train course to expand her horizons, and is doing wonderfully, learning to be comfortable on leash, and to be around unfamiliar people and in unfamiliar environments!
"Fosters Jindo Lilac and Asian mix Handsome are fun dogs. They love hanging out in the guest house as long as I am there. Otherwise they hang out in the compound outside. Twice a day they get out to run. And they love to run and chase things. These two are ready for their furever home. They will need room to romp. I'm sure having lived on four foot chains adds to their love of running. They are both beautiful to watch. I haven't had much time to leash work them but they have both been on leashes enough to know they will be good. Lilac is maybe four years old. She is spayed, chipped, wormed, and current on all her shots."
