Lightning's Story

Lightning came to a county shelter as a stray. He was very skinny, covered in dirt and fleas, and was all work. By all work I mean, he couldn't wait to herd! Lightning is always ready and will do the "typical" Border Collie lowering of the head and body and corral whatever he can! He's obviously a dog that loves to work! Because of his breed and his intensity, whomever would like to adopt him, will need to read up on the breed and be prepared. Lightning is a very smart dog who will need a lot of stimulation. Please be prepared to spend a significant amount of energy and brainpower to full fill this wonderful dogs needs;-)<br/><br/><br>I can only be adopted to a home in the DC Metro area.
