Lightning is a middle aged guy on the smaller side (weighing in at 27lbs). Lightning was picked up as a stray his time was almost up until his foster mom Nicole decided to jump in and hang on to me until I found my forever home!
A little about Lightning - he loves to snuggle! He wants to be where the humans are at all times! He is super interested in the cats in the house- he hasn't shown any aggression, but will chase them, so a cat savvy household that would be best!
Lightning just finished his heartworm treatment. Because of these pesky heartworms, we have had to keep his heart rate down (BORING!), so he hasn't officially been tested with other dogs yet but he is really interested in them when he sees them!
Lightning is not a barker - he doesn't bark at the doorbell, knocks at the door, or when strangers come into the home. He is great with kids -although he will try to steal a snack from their hands!
Lightning does have a little issue with his back legs as they shake a bit and sometimes and he will sometimes slip on bare floor. A house with a lot of stairs might be hard because sometimes he falls on the last step or 2. But make no mistake, it does not slow him down one bit, especially if there is a squirrel invader! He loves to just be where his people are and sit on the couch or lay at their feet. He likes to go on walks and loves when his foster mom takes him out for ice cream!
