Meet Liberty
If you have seen pictures of Liberty, you already know from her gorgeous blue eyes and coloring, that you are looking at a Husky. Maybe a mix but more Husky than anything else. She came into the shelter because she was abandoned by her owner. We are estimating her age to be around 6 months old, so she is going to have some puppy left in her. She weighs 46 lbs. and could get a little larger.
The first thing you must have noticed about Liberty is that right ear that seems to have a mind of its own and is perfectly happy to lie on the top of her head. Too funny. ?
So, Liberty was in someone’s home for a few months. She has already been taught to do a nice sit, stay, comes when you call her, and takes treats gently from your hand. I would describe her energy level as medium, even though she is so young. If you watch the video of Liberty, you can get a good look at her while off leash. I suspect that she has had some house training but even if she has, she will still need a little time to adjust to a new home. Just please be patient with her. She is smart and will learn quickly. I found her to be affectionate and playful.
If you already have a dog(s) in your home, there would be a meet & greet at the shelter.
Huskies are known to have a friendly disposition, are intelligent, and of course have that striking appearance. They are affectionate, loyal companions, and are usually very sociable with people and other dogs. They also have a lot of energy and will require a significant amount of daily exercise to keep them happy and healthy. This will also keep you happy and healthy! ?
Please get Liberty out of her kennel so you can judge for yourself what a great dog I believe she is. Just a few minutes of your time to find out if Liberty is the dog, you have been looking for.
