Meet Liberty
This precious girl is a 10 month old and 50lb Black Mouth Cur Mix looking for a special adopter, someone who has either training experience, or who has worked with feral dogs.
Liberty is smart, and learns quickly, she just needs to learn to trust humans. She is shy and fearful to humans but she has the potential to offer so much love. She is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccines and preventatives, and microchipped.
She has been in a foster home in PA, where they have been working on socializing Liberty. She has made progress in foster, such as learning a daily schedule for eating and using the bathroom, learned to use the wee wee pads, going outside in the yard, and is leash trained.
She has been around other dogs in the foster home that she is currently in and she does love being around other dogs and she has been learning from them in the foster home. She finds more comfortability in opening up around other dogs as well.
Liberty really wants a home who can consistently focus on her and build on the progress she makes each day. This girl is ready to blossom! She has so much potential, and just needs the chance to come out of her shell with a special someone who has the patience and experience to build her trust.
She is located in Milford, PA and we are looking for a foster in the PA, NY or NJ areas.
Liberty was once a stray, living on railroad tracks in Texas (where her father was hit by a train), her mother and her siblings were found malnourished and many of them were in bad health. She had a rough start in life, being neglected and rejected by humans explains why she is very fearful of them. If someone can invest their time, love, patience and empathy towards this sweet girl, you will give her a chance to have a life that she never knew and deserves.
