MEET LIBERTY
?This precious angel is looking for a special furever home….one that will allow her to live out her years in the safety and security of a warm, caring, and loving environment. Liberty’s past is unknown to us, but we know that no matter what has happened to her she has kept her sweet, gentle spirit and simply wants nothing more than to find someone to love (and hold) her and make her feel secure for the rest of her days.
Liberty is an approximately 8-year-old Retriever / Lab mix with a beautiful caramel-colored coat that lightens up to a whitish blonde along her legs, face, and chest. Her liquid brown eyes convey the sweet spirit that lies within, and her (almost) heart-shaped nose is sprinkled with adorable freckles. She is a medium-sized dog with a thin build and currently weighs about 39 pounds. Liberty has a very calm, shy personality and low energy level, but those may change as she comes out of her shell more.
Liberty was pulled from our local animal shelter where she had been picked up as a stray and no one came to claim her. Liberty is shy when you first meet her, but once she knows you are her friend, then she just wants to be with you, to be loved and to love on, and her cute, playful personality starts emerging as she becomes more comfortable. She loves to sit close to you, pressing her precious face close to you as she searches for the love and comfort she no doubt has been searching for. Liberty wants to feel secure with the person that she is with, so she will be a great snuggle buddy and companion because she is the most endearing, loving, precious girl you’ll ever meet!
Liberty will need a fenced yard if left outside unattended at all, but she is not to be an outside dog only as she likes to be with her people. She should do well in an apartment setting provided there is plenty of outside exercise incorporated into her daily activities. Liberty should make a great family pet and should be fine with children 10 and older. We have started on her crate training. Liberty is up to date on her vet care, is heartworm negative, is microchipped, and has been spayed soon. She is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
If you want to truly rescue a sweet pup and change her world forever, then our precious Liberty is the one for you! ?
