Meet Lewis: This gorgeous young male Great Pyrenees came in with is buddy "Clark" after they were found exploring Kingwood. While they very much like to hang out together, we don't believe they are a truly bonded pair, but they do very much enjoy the company of people and other dogs. Lewis is about 1 year old and friendly and outgoing and curious. Lewis loves people and walks pretty well on leash - he is pretty strong and will need a handler able to handle him. He likes treats and sits nicely for them, even getting in the car for treats!

Lewis essentially a very large puppy who is still learning a lot - including what he can eat and what he can't, that jumping up on people is considered rude and that the person holding the leash gets to decide where to walk and how fast. Lewis is very smart and learns quickly, and is looking for an active home, preferably with his buddy "Clark", or another dog in it. His family should include him in lots of daily activities, exercise and training and mental stimulation, left alone for long periods of time, Lewis will very likely find himself in loads of trouble. Current or previous large dog experience is required. While Lewis is not quite as experienced in getting out of fenced yards as Clark is, we do recommend a solid foot fence of minimum 6 ft rather than a chain-link fence to contain them safely.
