Leroy was found as a stray on May 2nd, 2020 outside of a restaurant in the city limits of Griffin, GA by a food delivery driver who happened to have a daughter who worked at the restaurant. She was able to catch Leroy after 2 days of trying, but Spaulding County Animal Control wouldn't take him because it was within city limits and Griffin AC never showed to pick him up. Now Griffin AC won't take him because the Good Samaritan took him out of the county to her home. Living with her parents, the girl loved Leroy, but her family has indoor and outdoor cats that Leroy was far too interested in. Not to mention she was moving to an apartment that does not allow dogs. She desperately wanted Leroy have a great life, but time was running out. Lucky for Leroy, a foster home opened up and we were able to take him into our program on July 6th, 2020.
Leroy loves all humans and all of dogs he has met so far, no matter the size. He gets overly excited and cries if not greeted with all the love and kisses as he's just a big baby. In true pit bull fashion, he does not know anything about personal space and thinks he is a tiny lap-dog. He will let you mess with his ears, feet, tail, eyes and is good for nail trims and baths. Leroy is food motivated and happy to learn new things. He is also crate trained and housebroken. He is settling into his foster home and enjoying the company of his pittie foster-sister. Leroy got neutered on 7/30/20 and will be ready to go into a forever home as soon as he's healed.
