Meet Leon

Leon is a 5-year-old, 40lb, doodle mix male. He was at the shelter where he came in as a stray. We noticed cloudiness in both eyes and he was diagnosed with cataracts. Surgery was done to remove them and he has recovered well but will need eye drops from now on.

Leon is medium to high energy. He can be playful with other playful dogs and loves to play fetch. Or, can cuddle up next to you just as well. He is also good with calm, friendly dogs. He has not been around cats or children. Leon becomes attached to his human and will follow them like a shadow. He can get a little stubborn and when told no firmly will growl to get his way.

At night time, he does well in a crate, but prefers sleeping next to you in bed. He may have separation anxiety at 1st, but with time and patience, he gets over it.

We believe he would do good in a house with a big yard, another playful dog, or an experienced, active family.
