Meet Le'on

This handsome dog is Leon! He is the alpha male in a group of shepherds recently rescued from a backyard breeding situation. Despite being kept outdoors with no training, Leon is a confident and friendly dog. And when we say Alpha, we mean a true leader, he doesn’t need to thump his chest and show who’s boss, his herd of shepherds, aka the Pauma Valley 6 Pack of dogs respect him very much. It’s easy to have all 5 of them together in a play yard, there isn’t much to do from the person that is dog sitting, Leon does all the babysitting, and the rest follow his lead.

He learned how to play with balls, he loves the squeaky kong balls, he will chase them and hide them . . . having multiple balls does help. He loves to play kick with the balls! One thing that wasn’t expected from this Papa Dog is his love for affection from people, he will come up to you, lay on his side for rubs, or lay on you (like it or not) for more rubs. He is a very well adjusted dog. He lived with small dogs (he doesn’t like unfriendly dogs, big or small).
