LEO (bonded with Little Larry) Mixed Breed Harrisburg, PA

LEO, the bigger of the two, is about 15-20 lbs, and a year old.
LITTLE LARRY is only about 10 lbs, and 2-3 years old.

Although they may be shy at first, both these kiddos are friendly. They are also both affectionate, although Leo more than Little Larry. Leo loves kisses, and Little Larry not so much. Leo is a cuddlicious lap dog and loves always being next to you. Little Larry is more independent. He mainly likes to do his own thing and will then sit in your lap and ask for attention on his terms. Both rate at about a 5, on a scale of 1-10 on energy. They enjoy hanging out with you throughout the day. They like to lay around, and still play around the room and/or backyard. Sometimes they play with toys, and mainly they enjoy soaking up good company (each other’s and also yours).

No storm or separation anxiety, and no behavioral concerns (unless you let them). For example, they are crated when left home alone to prevent any surprise attacks on your personal items. They are also crated (separately) at bedtime, however, they are dreaming of being able to sleep in a comfy bed with their new family. Both are quiet in their crates, and are very comfortable going straight in (especially since it entails getting a treat). It’s also where they eat their meals (morning and evening),but note that Little Larry waits for you to leave the room before he starts eating.

The 2 are both dog & cat-friendly. We have not tested with kids, and imagine they would be ok with them (provided kids understand not to force themselves or invade onto their personal spaces). These 2 are fiercely loyal to each other, and will protect each other if they sense another dog is bullying the other. Every rescue pup has their own story and history. These 2 have different histories/stories, and instantly connected when they met in their foster home. The 2 like to pretend they are big guard dogs, and will bark at any noise they hear outside or at the fence, and especially especially if they spot a squirrel.

The 2 work well together and are bonded for sure, but each has their own unique personality. Little Larry hates to be stared at. If you stare at him, he will start growling and then barking as if telling you how impolite it is to stare. He is also a “treat snob,” even though they are both picky about their treats. Also a secret about Little Larry.. (he loves belly rubs)!!! He also acts like he doesn't like to be held, but his foster feels that on some level he appreciates it every now and then.

Leo is funny – he likes to push a blanket up into a ball with his nose, undo it, and then do it again. He is a happy go lucky guy, and always wagging his tail. As mentioned earlier, he loves kisses (giving & receiving) and always being next to you. Leo is house-trained for the most part, although he does have occasional accidents when he's not taken out on schedule. He is young though, and still learning.

Neither have high food drives. Leo is more interested in food then Little Larry. Both require some training on the leash, but at least they are not 60 lbs! They haven’t been on many car rides, and seem ok with them.
