Meet Leo
Leo is a 4 yr old male German Shepherd that recently came to us when his owner's living situation changed and he needed a new place to stay.
Leo is a very friendly rambunctious boy who hasn't met a stranger yet. Per his previous family, he is good with other dogs and kids and is cat workable (he likes to chase but can be corrected/redirected and has never harmed a cat). So far we're not seeing much toy drive and his food drive is not over the top, but that may change as he settles in. He's a large dog - currently at 83 lbs and needs to gain a little. With his size and energy, he may be a bit too much for little kids and tiny dogs, but that may be a case by case determination.
Leo is house trained but he struggles with anxiety in a crate or kennel so we're working on getting him acclimated to the idea in case that is a skill he needs in the future. He rides well crated in the car. He pulls a bit on the leash but is responsive to his handler and engaged so we don't expect him to have any trouble with learning the ropes so he can enjoy nice walks with his family.
Leo is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He's a ton of fun and personality and we can't wait to get to know him more as he settles in. He's ready to find a family to join him in the next chapter of his story - might that be you?

Our Adoption Fees:

*Dogs and puppies 12 months old or younger: $450
* Adult dogs over 12 months of age: $400
* Senior dogs over 7 years of age qualify for our "Seniors FUREVER" program! Seniors are special to us, so we offer two options:
(1) If your heart has a special place for the seniors, you can adopt a senior dog for the regular adoption fee of $400 and this becomes a perpetual fee. You can adopt another SGSDR senior dog at any time from us in the future at NO CHARGE.
(2) If you aren't sure about your future adoption capacity, you may adopt your SGSDR senior dog for a reduced adoption fee of $250.
