Meet Leo

Yes! Leo is available. The quickest way to meet him is to fill in an application. You will not see this posting once he is adopted so no need to ask if he’s available.

Leo is a sweet little 2 year old, 40 pound black Lab mix that came to us from South Carolina. He wants to lay at your feet every chance he gets.

Initially quite timid, once he is comfortable with you he will be your BEST friend forever.

Completely trustworthy in the house, Leo has had no accidents and no chewing! Goofy boy that he is, he prefers to sleep on TOP of his crate rather than inside and is not a fan of having the crate door shut.

He walks really well on a leash and is easy to take places. He loves to run but otherwise he’s pretty mellow.

Leo is still a little unsure of things and for unknown reasons, small kids scare him but he’s fine with calmer, older children, so a home with teens or tweens would be fine for him.

He is good with other dogs but not with cats. He's neutered, up to date on all his shots, and micro-chipped.

Since all of our dogs are in private foster homes, only approved applicants can meet our dogs. You must fill in an adoption application before meeting any of our dogs. Approvals are good for a year, and the application donation will be deducted from the adoption fee.

**READ BEFORE PROCEEDING**

1. Adopters must live within 40 miles of Rochester, NY. Our rescue is unable to support greater distances. Please do not ask for an exception, beg, argue, negotiate, or cajole. Sorry, but we are a Rochester only rescue.

2. All our dogs listed on Petfinder are available for adoption, and are removed immediately upon adoption.

3. If an approved applicant is a good match, the dog you are interested in may be adopted by the time you are approved, and the listing will be removed. We do not hold up adoptions to wait for a new applicant to be approved. Approvals remain good for a year. We encourage you to become pre-approved to give you the opportunity to meet newly available dogs without delay.
