Leo Hound & Labrador Retriever Mix Kansas City, KS

10/2/2014: Leo is a very handsome Hound/Lab mix. He's a sweet and friendly guy and he loves people. We've recently discovered that Leo really enjoys and excels at agility! We've taken him out on our course and he's doing the bar jump, tire jump, A-frame and even the teeter-totter! We've also been working with him in obedience classes and he's doing great. He is very food motivated!

Leo is a bit too big and rambunctious for a home with small kids, but should be fine with older kids. He does need a home without cats. Leo gets along with most dogs. He does best with dogs who aren't dominate. If you have a dog, we'd ask you to make an appointment to bring your dog in to meet Leo so that we can see if they like each other.

Leo is a year old and he weighs about 65 lbs. He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for heartworms.

All of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Puppies who are too young to receive all the necessary puppy boosters and/or first rabies shot may be brought back to us for those vaccines at no extra charge. You will also receive a leash, collar, coupons for pet supplies and services, toys, and educational materials. And we'll give your dog a bath before he or she goes home!

> Please note that we prefer and may require a fenced yard for many of our dogs. Exceptions are made on an individual basis depending on the dog's needs, the person's dog experience, the dog's and person's activity levels, home environment and other factors.

> An application is required to adopt a pet and applicants must meet our adoption requirements. If you decide you'd like to adopt one of our dogs, we reserve the pet for you but we generally don't send the dog home with you that same day.
