Where do we begin with Lennon? He is a survivor. His story makes most weep. We were made aware of a mama dog who had six puppies, five had passed away from the heat and there was one left, very sick, on deaths door. When we went to the property, we saw a mama dog that was clearly suffering in the heat, filled with ticks and emotionally done. We knocked on the door and in the end, despite the horror of the situation, baby Lennon and his mama were turned over to us. Lennon's little body was barely hanging on....filled with ticks and fleas, he was given fluids and slowly he began to feel better. By pure coincidence, we had a nursing mama that had puppies that were just a few weeks apart from Lennon. Lennon fit right in the pack! Supplemented by bottle and nursing, Lennon gained weight and today is the cutest, happiest little pup. If you are interested in adopting Lennon, his adoption will be done through our "foster to adopt" program. What does that mean? Lennon's new family will foster him until he is ready for adoption, which is many months out. Lennon has had one booster shot but he will be scheduled for two more, he will be neutered, vaccinated and micro-chop. Please note that Lennon is a puppy and puppies need patience and training.
