Leigh German Shepherd Dog & Collie Mix Hagerstown, MD

Leigh was saved from a high kill shelter in the Houston, Tx area. She is a Shepard mix and the vet thinks she is 1.5 years old, and weighs 40 pounds. Leigh is good with other dogs of all sizes, large and small breeds. It’s unsure if she's cat friendly, as she hasn't been around cats at this time. She knows how to play with other dogs, and loves to share her toys while she's playing with her other furry friends. She is wonderful around children. Her foster mom has a 6 year old and a 13 month old, and Leigh is really patient and calm around both children. She is very loving. She wants to be your shadow. She is potty trained, walks well on a leash and kennel trained. On a leash she does not bark at strangers and she does good meeting new people.
Leigh stays in a kennel while her foster is not home and sleeps in her kennel at night. She finds her kennel a safe place and will go in her kennel throughout the day while her foster parents are home.
In Leigh’s foster home, they do feed her separately from their dogs, however there has been zero signs of food aggression with treats.
Leigh would do best in a home that’s active and she would love to have another fur sibling to play with. She loves to go on walks and enjoys being outside on a beautiful day.
