At 2 years old, she has the perfect balance of playful energy and the ability to settle in with her people. She loves a good game of fetch with her ball, chewing on her favorite bones, cozy couch snuggles, and learning new tricks that show off her clever mind.

Working one-on-one with a professional trainer, Leeloo is excelling in a structured routine that builds confidence, strengthens leash skills, and promotes emotional regulation. She enjoys food puzzles, long sniffy walks, a quick swim and bonding time with her favorite humans. Once she trusts you, she’s affectionate, clever, and incredibly loyal.

What Leeloo Needs:

Leeloo is looking for an only-dog home where she can be the star of the show. She has a history of conflict with other dogs in shared living spaces—especially during high-energy moments or around resources—so she’ll thrive best as a solo pet.

That said, Leeloo can coexist peacefully with other dogs in structured outdoor settings. She’s done well on parallel walks, enjoys decompression strolls with known companions, and can pass by dogs on leash when given space. Her challenges are limited to the home environment, not public spaces.

Her Ideal Family:

1. No other dogs in the home.
2. Children 10+ who are dog-savvy and can respect her energy.
3. Potential for slow, mindful introductions to cats (she’s previously coexisted around barn cats)
4. Lower-traffic neighborhood or rural environment preferred
5. Experience with sensitive or high-energy dogs—or openness to learn with trainer support
6. Ability to provide a consistent routine, structured enrichment, and positive reinforcement training.

Training & Support:

Leeloo is crate-trained, food-motivated, and currently practicing skills like “go to place,” “leave it,” and “look at that.” With structure and guidance, she has shown that she can adapt, relax, and thrive.

To support her transition:

Southern Maine adoptions: Her trainer will provide four free in-person lessons

Non-local adoptions: Virtual sessions will be offered to ensure ongoing success

A Note from Her People:

“Leeloo is an incredible dog—sharp, sweet, and so loving once she lets you in. While she’s had some hard moments, she’s also shown us how much potential she has when supported the right way. We love her deeply, and we’re committed to helping her land somewhere she can feel safe, confident, and truly at ease."

LeeLoo is spayed, up to date with vaccinations and has no known health problems.

Serious Inquiries only: email - gracepomeroytraining@gmail.com
