Meet Leah

***Leah is currently in a trial adoption! ***

Now where did that stubby tail come from?! That's the mystery with Leah, a
10 month to 1 year old female shepherd mix. Here is an update from her foster at Hot Diggity Day Camp!
"Leah is a fun and sassy girl! She has lots of energy and loves to play! She also loves a good cuddle and belly rubs. She would do best in an active home and an owner who has had experience with herding dogs. She does well with dogs her size or larger with comparable energy, but she does love to herd other dogs. We are currently working on her playstyle and manners at HDDC! She is such a sweet girl - come and meet her! "

Leah has a light tan and white
coat with cute fly-a-way ears. She weighs 32 pounds now but we think she
will get to about 40 pounds when full grown.

Leah was pulled from our local animal shelter where she was picked up by Animal Control and no one came to claim her. Then she got adopted from Shelter but brought back in 2 days with the adopter saying they just didn't have the time for her. So we wanted the chance to find her a home.

Leah is a very sweet, loving, fun dog. She has a great outgoing personality and wants to be everyone's best friend. She still has puppy energy so she will need stimulus and exercise to help expel that energy. Leah would do better in a home with a fenced in yard so she can run and play than in an apartment. She will require a fenced in yard if left outside any unattended. Leah tends to be the dominant dog so a trial would be needed if other dogs are in the household.

She should be fine with children 10 and up. We have started on her
housetraining. Leah is up to date on her vet care, spayed, heartworm
negative and is microchipped. She is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
So cool and so unique - come meet this one of a kind super dog!
