Meet Lazlo (Paws in Prison Participant)
This handsome boy is Lazlo. He was rescued from the middle of Chenal Parkway – so loved by his rescuers that they even paid for all his vetting. His intelligence made him a good candidate for AR Paws in Prison where a trained inmate works with one dog for 6 to 8 weeks to intensively train obedience skills. This is what we’ve learned about Lazlo while training in prison. Lazlo will graduate from the program Nov. 22.
•Lazlo is good with other dogs, house trained and easy to enjoy
•He is very smart, and very loyal to his humans
•Lazlo has a tendency to “guard” but that’s the perfect trait for some dog owners – protecting the home. Guarders can be much better than a security system – no need to wait for an alarm to go off. If you are looking for a guard dog- HERE'S LAZLO!
•Lazlo has not been kid or cat tested. Lazlo probably needs a home without young kids or cats.
Lazlo is in the Paws in Prison program where he receives obedience training. He is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on November 22nd. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive his training journal. This journal documents everything from his entering the facility, his daily training progress, and interactions with his trainers.
