Laylo German Shepherd Dog & Rottweiler Mix White Lake, MI

Laylo is a 65 lb., 2-year-old GSD/Rottweiler/Lab mix. She is an extremely affectionate once she knows you, but she can be a little scared and nervous around new people, but dogs, well dogs she absolutely loves! She is more than happy to snuggle up on the couch with you and loves to play with the dogs, on the bed, in a shed, on a box, with a fox! There is nothing she seems to enjoy more. Because of this we are requiring another dog in the home for her. (If you are looking for 2 you couldn’t pick a better playmate for her then Curtis!)

Laylo is a quick learner, and she knows how to sit for a treat. She does pull a bit on the leash, but nothing unmanageable unless she sees a raccoon or a squirrel, she will pull harder than! She’s totally housebroken and does just fine when left alone, she doesn’t chew on anything that isn’t appropriate.

She was fostered in a home in TX with a toddler and has been around some older kids and does great with them. She walks well on a leash for them and snuggled right in with my nieces that are 10 & 12.

Laylo was in a home in TX, where we believe she was mistreated, particularly by a man as she does seem to shy away from them more. She has never shown any aggressive tendencies. Animal Control was called as one of her puppies was stuck in the fence, so while they were there, they confiscated the puppies, and the family gave them mom and dad. The entire family was in a kill shelter when a rescue came and took the puppies, but left mom and dad behind. Fortunately, an amazing rescue we work with down there stepped up and took both mom and dad. Dad got a ride to a MA rescue, leaving poor Laylo behind. The rescue down there didn’t have enough nice things to say about her, so we said we would take her! If her foster mom didn’t already have too many dogs, she would keep Laylo, because she is so good with all the dogs that come in.

Laylo is up to date on all vaccinations and heartworm prevention, she is spayed and was treated for HW a few months ago.

Laylo is a total sweetheart and wants nothing more than to find her forever family!
