Layla's Story
Layla is a gorgeous, American Bulldog/Curr mix. This precious 2 year old female entered the CAFA family when she was six months old. She appeared to struggle to walk and had atrophy of her hind end. Ultimately, our vets determined that Layla had bilateral cruciate ligament damage. We are unsure if this was congenital or from an injury, but the pain worsened, so CAFA was forced to do a surgery on both knees to repair this injury. After a very expensive surgery and weeks of therapy, this sweet girl is looking for her forever home. She is fixed, fully vetted and is on Proheart 12 for heart worm prevention.

Layla lives with her brother Hoover, and foster sister in her foster home. She loved her big dog companions and all humans that she encountered. She would likely do well with any doggie companion, we just need to be sure that pup is not too rough and tumble for Layla. Although she is doing great post surgery, we do not want her to
Re-injure her knees.

Layla has an amazing personality. She is loving and incredibly goofy. She is your shadow, and wants to be with you always. She loves to nuzzle, head butt, and talk with you. She is extremely vocal and seems to enjoy constant affection and conversations. She may do well with cats, it would need a slow introduction. She would do well with dog savvy kids. Layla is looking for a fabulous forever home, with a family that can afford any additional care she may need as she ages.

Layla weighs 75 lbs.
