Meet Layla

Layla went back to Mustang Veterinary Surgical for her final x-rays, and we are thrilled to share that her leg has fully healed! She's now free to run and play without restrictionsjust in time to find her forever home! Layla's foster mom describes her as a playful pup with a touch of mouthinessshe sometimes uses her mouth in play, not to bite but just as her way of interacting. For this reason, we recommend any children in her new home be at least 13 years old, as younger kids might not understand her mouthing. Her foster mom is helping her learn gentler ways to play, but it may take a little time. Layla is crate trained and working hard on potty training. She absolutely adores people and dogs alike! According to Wisdom Panel, Layla is a 5 month old Husky, German Shepherd, and Poodle mix. Her estimated adult weight is between 37-62 lbs. Ready to meet this beautiful girl? Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
