Layla Australian Shepherd Mix Unionville, CT

What can we say about Layla? Everything wonderful! Layla is a 5-year-old 65 lb. “momma dog,” who takes care of the puppies in her foster home, she is such a maternal and loving girl! Layla is extremely sweet and submissive, she has done well with every dog she has met and shares toys well. We have not yet cat tested her but based on her nature, we believe she wouln a home with kitties.

Layla arrived at the shelter in a very sad and neglected state; she was emaciated and suffering from severe flea infestation. Her skin was inflamed and itchy and she was generally in a depleted state. Layla has spent several months in foster getting the care and love she so deserves to prepare her for her forever family. She knows sit and paw commands, she is perfectly house trained and has wonderful manners. Layla is working on leash training as well.

Layla’s perfect home would have a yard she could run in, kids, especially if they’re strong enough to play tug of war with her, someone to cuddle with at TV time.
