Layla American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Lowell, MA

Layla is an 11 month old, beautiful American Staffordshire who is has been very patiently waiting to meet her new forever family!

Layla is smart, eager to learn, and always looking for fun! She absolutely loves the water and will do anything for the pool, the sprinkler, even the hose! She will put a smile on your face as she plays with her toys, rubs her belly on the grass, or snuggle up to you for cuddles. We are trying to get her brain working as much as possible since she has so much energy to burn, and has shown us she loves puzzle feeders, enrichment boxes, and clicker tools to keep her mind working.

She would really benefit from an active household that can take her on walks, give her plenty of exercise, and help her to expend her boundless energy. She is a little firecracker and would benefit from some professional training, so a training deposit will be required for her.

Layla is such a sweet girl with a loving personality and all she wants is a family to love her as much as she loves them! She does have a bit of separation anxiety and will benefit from crate training to help her acclimate into the new home. To explore some of her behaviors we had Layla sleepover with a trusted volunteer and we learned she likes to counter surf, do zoomies in the home, and it would take her a little while to settle down. Lots of puppy behaviors! Her family will need to be dedicated to working with her and helping her become the wonderful dog we know she can be!

We think Layla may do well with another dog, but can she be selective so please reach out to staff if you are interested in learning more. We are placing Layla in a home with no cats/small animals or young children, and ideally teenagers and up.
