Layla's Story

Layla has had terrible luck. At age 6, her family dumped her in a city shelter because they were “moving, and there she spent over TWO YEARS locked away in a tiny kennel confined to four walls, day in day out. The shelter posted about Layla once and forgot all about her. This sweet girl never stood a chance of being adopted.

We got Layla out and today she is 8 yrs old and so ready to find a person or people who will adore and cherish her.

Layla is a strikingly beautiful girl with a heart just as sweet as her looks. She loves long walks in the park, where she can explore and then lay down in the grass to relax. At home, Layla is respectful and well mannered. She adores being close to her person, receiving belly rubs, giving kisses, and simply enjoying your company. At the same time, she’s just as content to have her own quiet time, curling up for naps in her bed and getting her beauty sleep. One of her cutest quirks is the way she’ll give a little head jerk to let you know she’s ready to go outside - it’s her special way of communicating.

Layla recently had a full dental done so she is set in that area.

This is a very special, once-in-a-lifetime dog, and we are looking for a special family or person for her.

Layla is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated. She would prefer to be the only dog at home and is great with cats. Not tested with kids.

Foster-to-adopt option available. Adoption fee is $350.

HOW TO APPLY FOR LAYLA:

Please apply for Layla at www.gwarp.org and text Kamilla after to follow up: 1-347-556-1843. Do not send inquiries on Petfinder.
