Laurel is a sweet and funny girl that loves her people once she has warmed up to them. She is very affectionate, loves to be petted, and follows her foster mom everywhere. She loves soft toys and balls and entertains herself quite nicely by sitting and tossing them around.

She has a soft mouth and is very gentle when she takes treats and plays with her toys. She likes to explore the yard and does well in her crate where she feels safe.

Laurel just arrived in the States and many things are new to her. She can be scared of unfamiliar things, so her new owners will need to be patient with her.

Laurel is a quick learner and responds to “no” and “off.” She will need work with her basic obedience skills including leash walking. Her foster mom is working with her on her house training and say she is doing well.

Laurel is curious about her foster kitty sibling but is respectful of him; she keeps her distance and does not chase him. She also lives with another dog that she is playful with, but she tends to become a little protective of her foster mom. For this reason, Laurel would do best in a home as an only dog.

We would like to have Laurel adopted around the Baltimore area. She will come up to date on her shots and microchipped. She is not yet spayed, but we will pay the costs associated with the procedure at a facility we choose or approve.
