Lana's Story

Lana was living on a rural dirt road in Arkansas for several months. Many people were feeding her during that time. It took three months to catch Lana in a livetrap. She is still shy around strangers but has blossomed into quite an affectionate and playful girl with her caregivers and other foster dogs. During her time in our rescue, she has been fully vetted: spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped. Her hair has filled out more and she is the epitome of picture-perfect health. Lana can be quite the couch potato in the home. She's versatile and can go from running around playing tag with the other foster dogs to snoozing on the sofa. We believe she will make a terrific companion for someone who has the same energy of low-to medium. Initially she's very shy but warms up and is affectionate. She does not feel comfortable around children, so it would be best if she goes to an adult only household where her personality can shine. ArkanPaws Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

There are steps. 1. The person must apply for the pet. We require the applicant give three personal references, a vet reference (if they have owned, or own a pet), a land lord approval if they rent. They are required to answer several questions regarding their living/work situation. Please check our website at www.arkanpaws.org for complete information about our adoption process. We're a foster based organization based in Conway, Arkansas. If you're in the immediate area, you are welcome to schedule a Meet N Greet with any of our dogs - please call or email us at least a day in advance. If you are out of area, please feel free to request a video and additional photos, as well as an extensive conversation with the foster parent who is sheltering your potential new fur friend.
