This resilient girl was rescued from a city shelter where she spent over five months waiting for a chance, and then suddenly due to space issues, no fault of her own, she was put on the euthanasia list. We saw Laika and knew we had to save her. Now living a grateful life with a foster family, she's thriving and showing us her joyful and loving personality!<br/><br/>Laika is the perfect mix of playful and calm. She loves to zoom around the backyard with the neighbor dogs and will smother you with kisses. While she still has some puppy energy, she can also keep herself busy playing with toys or simply relaxing by your side. <br/><br/>She's a fantastic office mate who's doing great with her crate, so she's perfect for a single person or couple who works from home or on a hybrid schedule. She'll happily hang out by your side, whether you're working at your desk or relaxing on the couch. Her soulful eyes seem to say "thank you" for a second chance, and she gives her affection to everyone, men and women alike.<br/><br/>This smart girl is fully house-trained and knows her commands, including sit, paw, down, and place. She'll give you her paw not just for treats, but just to show you her affection and let you know how much she loves you! Laika is a bit timid on the leash with her walks, and is making progress, so she needs a patient family who will continue to work on her confidence during walks.<br/><br/>A few of her favorite things? Morning showers (she'll pop her head in to say hi!) and ice cubes! This sweet girl blossoms every day. She has been learning (quickly) to play catch and fetch, and it's a joy to watch her have so much fun! When she's done running around, her favorite place to be is curled up next to her people, soaking up all the love and affection. She'll happily melt into the floor for a good belly rub, and she thinks a spoonful of yogurt (or the rest of yours) is the best treat in the world.<br/><br/>Laika is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, and fully house-trained.
