Meet Lady

Meet Lady!

Lady was rescued after being dumped at Lake Stanley Draper and gave birth the next morning to four beautiful little babies. She was an amazing and doting momma and her babies have all been raised and adopted allowing Lady to get some time in foster care to just be a playful lovely young adult. Now it’s Lady’s turn to find her forever home!

Lady is an approximately 4-year old Petite/Long Hair
Dachshund who weighs round 11 pounds. While she would make a great only dog, she also is great with cats and with other small dogs after a slow intro (scared at first then becomes besties with all). She has shown fear with medium/large dogs and would be best suited to a home with small dogs and older children only.

Lady is EXTREMELY loving. She loves her people fiercely and loves being loved more than anything. Her favorite time of day is bedtime when she leaps into bed and under the covers to snuggle all night with her person. Lady is such a fun mix of outgoing and snuggle/lap buddy. If her person is sitting down, you will find Lady sleeping contentedly on their lap. When her person is up and moving around, Lady can be found collecting toys and playing and running inside and outside.

After 3 months in foster care, it’s safe to say Lady is pre-spoiled. She is well loved by all of the FYDR team…if you meet her you are guaranteed to join her fan club!

Lady is house-trained to a doggie door and frequently leaps in and outside with her toys and can be seen doing “zoomies” through the yard throughout the day. If Lady doesn’t have a doggie door in her new home, she will need continued house training. Prior to learning the doggie door she was 95% potty pad trained and doing well with house training with a good schedule and routine.

Lady has been nervous of medium/large dogs and would do best in a home with smaller dogs and older children only.

She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $200.
