Forever Home Dog Rescue consists of all volunteer’s The ONLY time to meet our dog’s is during our adoption event on Sunday’s from 11 am-2 pm at PetsMart, 161 Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12210. We do not have a facility, all dogs are fostered in our homes. We are only accepting applications within a 50 mile radius of the Albany, NY International Airport. Hi, my name is Lady and I'm 8 years old and about 25 pounds. I am looking for a new forever home where I can be the queen bee. I have been loved and cared for by a nice family all my life but I really don’t like living with 2 big rambunctious dogs that wrestle and play tug all the time. So my family decided that they wanted to see me happy and content in a home where I can relax and play ball all day. And I will play ball all day if you let me! I can just as easily settle down for a nap on the couch next to you too. I have never had an accident in the house and I am a pretty good listener-unless you tell me to ignore that squirrel. That one is too hard for me to do. I get a little nervous when new people come over or I visit new places. My foster family is helping me with my anxiety, which is very manageable with positive reinforcement. Now I am only nervous at first and then with a little praise and a sniff of my new friends, my tail perks up and wags a mile a minute. I like collecting dirty sock (aren’t they the best?) but I’ll happily trade them in for a toy, treat, or ball. And if I have nice toys and balls around I really don’t pay attention to the others things my foster mom doesn’t want me to have. I have lived with cats before but it’s been awhile so a slow introduction would be a great idea. I also love chasing chickens and watching them run around the yard but I never hurt them. I have decided that I would be much happier as the only dog with adults or older kids to love and a nice fenced yard where you can really throw that ball for me. And because I love barking at those squirrels apartment living wouldn’t be a good fit for me. I’ll be at Petsmart 11-2 so come say hello.
