Lady's Story

Lady arrived at NYCACC - The New York City Animal Care Centers- The city's municipal shelter as an owner surrender in February. They literally called animal control to come and get her. Poor dog was lost and confused.

She then was listed a the AT RISK LIST and scheduled for euthanasia. A amazing woman stepped stepped up to save her life.

Lady's' STATS:
Approximate age 5 years
Approximate weight 50
Breed (s) mixed
Spayed or neutered? No

Lady needs a home where she is your one and only inside pet. She would do well in a home with older children. I'd prefer her be adopted by a family with older children or a retired couple or person so that she gets lots of attention

Lady loves attention and just wants to be loved 24/7. She will try to bop you with her nose if she thinks you need to be petting her but her bottom jaw juts out a little so she actually bops you with her bottom jaw. She'll spin in circles when excited to go out and she always seems to be in a hurry to get back home.

Lady needs to be crated when left alone even if it's just for a few minutes as she has separation anxiety. She has scratched up a wall and has peed on my bed when I left her alone for a few minutes. She does not do well with other animals or at least dogs she will fixate and snap at them so she has been kept separate from my dogs.

Lady is a sweetheart she just simply loves her people or person. She just wants attention. I have not had any nip incidences or any crate aggression she prefers to eat in her crate with the door either closed or open. She goes in her crate willingly. She'll wine a little in her crate when she hears us being loud in the other area of house but will settle down. She really is a sweetheart and will make an awesome only pet for someone willing to give her a chance
