Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process --During Covid, our adoption process has changed a bit to the following-- To help ensure the safety of our volunteers and staff, our shelter is closed to the public and open by appointment only. A donation bin is located in the front of the building for drop-offs. Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email. Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family. We do require an interview, references and a contract. Must be 21 or over to adopt. Our Adoption process is very thorough...MM prides itself in making every effort to place each animal in the right home. Dogs: Our adoption fee is $299. Each dog that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella) De-Worming Microchip Heartworm Testing (1 yr & older) we pay for treatment for any HW+ animal after adoption at our own vet Cats: Our adoption fee is $175 for cats. Each cat that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, FVRCP) De-Worming Combo-Tested (FeLV/FIV) Weekdays/Weekends: Monday-Saturday from 11-3pm. by appointment at the Mostly Mutts facility located at 3238 Cherokee St. Kennesaw, Ga. 30144.
