Hey there. I'm Kymani. I was brought to the shelter for not getting along with some of my family members at home. I have been very stressed while staying at the shelter. If you adopted me, I would need some time to decompress and feel more comfortable in my new environment before I could really let my personality shine through. I have lived with cats before, but I preferred to keep my distance from them. I have never lived with another dog before. I haven't decided how I feel about dogs while here at the shelter; they are interesting, but kind of scary too. If you had another dog at home I would need to meet them first before we could go home together. I have had a history of guarding things that have value to me. The staff here have not seen me display this behavior in the shelter, but I would need an owner who understands to give me space while I enjoy my things and maybe even show me the value of trading. I already know 'sit' and who says this dog can't learn some new tricks. The staff here believes it would be best if I went to a home without children, based on my personality and history. If you would like to meet me, submit an application through our adoption resources page. The pet you are adopting exhibited significant FAS (fear, anxiety and stress). Antianxiety medication was initiated to help ease the transition period into the shelter environment. This behavior may improve once in a stable home environment. Please see your veterinarian after adopting to discuss further behavioral recommendations such as professional training and possible continuation of this medication.
