Meet Kubo

Meet Kubo, he is a nervous big guy with a heart looking for the love of a forever home. He was surrendered because his previous owners could no longer keep him in their home. He has grown up being a guard dog and because he is nervous he would do best in a loving reassuring home instead. He will need some additional socializing because of his reaction to some strangers but with some work with a trainer that can be easily resolved through positive reinforcement training. Kubo needs an adult only home as children make him extra nervous. He also has shown that he is fearful of men. Kubo loves other dogs and would love a play buddy! Other dogs help him feel more confident and he may be a good candidate for doggy day care! A proper introduction should be completed to be sure Kubo and another dog will get along. Because he is a shepherd he would be best to not live with a cat, they tend to have a high prey drive and enjoy chasing the smaller critters.
