Kovu is a lovable Hound/Boxer mix who is ready to find his way back into a loving home. Adopted as a young puppy in 2015, Kovu was recently returned and is now a charming nine-year-old with a heart full of affection and a sweet demeanor. At just over 60 pounds, he's a bigger guy, but his gentle nature and loving personality will quickly win you over.
Kovu is a true delight, known for his excellent manners and his eagerness to please. He’s a big fan of treats and has mastered his basic commands, making him a well-behaved companion who knows to potty outside. He walks well on a leash, never pulling or straying far from your side. He's also great on car rides! Despite being returned to us with some health issues, including an oral tumor, Kovu is a trooper. We’re taking care of his medical needs to ensure he’s as healthy and happy as possible.
Kovu is currently available for foster-to-adopt and would thrive in a home that combines tranquility with a touch of activity. He’s adaptable and would do well in a quiet environment with room for some playtime. Older children would be ideal, as Kovu enjoys companionship and would love to be part of a family where he can share his affectionate nature.
