Meet Kora

Animal Profile: Kora is an estimated 3-year-old, 50 lb female Pit Bull mix who joined us from a Texas rescue partner. She is full of love and has a sweet personality. Kora does best with slow introductions to other dogs and is not well suited for dog parks. She relies on her handlers' ability to be calm and confident in the face of distractions, so a genuine interest in leash handling/dog training will get you the best from her. And no cats for Kora!

Seattle Foster Update:
Kora loves to be with her people and is good around the house. Her leash skills need some work but she does well with food work and the ability to keep a little distance. Unless her adopter is ready to tackle her leash issues, Kora will likely do best in a rural
setting or a home with a yard. She comes with a free lesson package with Double Down Dog Training to help her adopter learn to navigate her leash frustration, as well as lifetime access to group classes once her new person's leash handling skills are up to par.

She is affectionate with all people, including children. My neighbors kids love her. She doesn't bark, she crates all night with no objection. She makes the most adorable piggy noises and loves to burrow under the blankets in her bed. See attached photo. Second photo of her is in the office with me today. She is a great work-at-home companion. She's relaxed and laid back in the house, but is ALWAYS up for a walk. Would walk for hours. So, she is good for the active and inactive alike. She isn't overly interested in the squirrels and bunnies. She pays attention to them when they startle her, but is easy to divert. She doesn't mind walking in the rain, which is a good thing in this area!

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.
