Hi, I'm Kola - you may remember me from several years ago. I'm a lab mix who was rescued after having puppies, and adopted to an amazing home with another lab. However, my owner passed away suddenly in 2024 and I found myself back in rescue foster. My brother got adopted and now I'm looking for my furever home!

I would love a home with another dog or someone who is home most of the day... I don't like being alone but will settle down after a few minutes of pouting. I just wait quietly by the window watching for you to return.

I love all dogs and kids, and would likely get along well with dog-savvy cats too. Tiny critters should probably steer clear though - I take my job as a mouse detective very seriously and will keep your yard free of the little rodents.

I've mastered the art of loose-leash walking (as long as you know I like to take the lead), have impeccable table manners (except for the silly part where I plant a paw in my dish to stop it from sliding ), and I'll amaze you with my treat-catching skills.

When it's bedtime, just say "Let's go to bed," and I'll trot to my bed like the responsible grown-up I am. I love car rides - so much so that harness time can get a little bouncy, but come on... I'm a Lab and adventures are calling!

Unfortunately I have DCM and an immune condition which I take medicines for twice a day. I take my meds like a superstar (just stick them to a treat with a bit of peanut butter). I am thriving, but will require bloodwork every few months to ensure the meds are doing their job.
