Meet Kodie

Ready to share his story, welcome Kodie! ♥

Guess what guys? One of you amazing people are going to be my forever person! We are going to go on amazing adventures, have the best cuddle sessions around, and just have a blast together! I came into rescue after my owners could no longer keep me. They had some pretty big life changes and couldn't give me the time I deserved. This rescue welcomed me to their fluffy butt family, and now I have landed in an awesome foster family! I am now fully vetted which means it is time to find my FURever family! ♥

My name is Kodie and I am an 11 month, 48lb male Husky mix. I have a gorgeous coat that is a mix of colors! I am a very playful boy and love to have a good time! Be that running around outside, playing with the other dogs, or just being a goofball! I have that happy-go-lucky personality that you can't help but love!

Before I move forward, here is what my foster says about me

"Kodie is a super friendly and playful dog. He has never met a stranger, everyone is instantly his best friend. He is definitely up for having a good time and loves adventure. He loves to stay busy so he will need either an active family or at least one other active dog to play with but he is definitely a more the merrier kind of guy. If you are looking for a laid-back dog then Kodie is not the dog for you but if you are looking for a dog that you can take anywhere, who will keep you entertained, make great memories with, and love you with all of his heart then look no more. Kodie is ready and waiting to start his adventures with you ??"

??To My New Family (Part 1)??
I am very excited to meet you, but before you apply to adopt me I need you to know some important things about me. I have compiled a list below ?

? I enjoy meeting new people and am friendly with them. I am not really a jumper but may give hugs if I see the other dogs doing it. I have been on walks through the neighborhood and did really well. I love making new friends and getting lovings!

? As far as chewing goes I tend to stick to my toys. However, I am a big fan of paper things. Such as mail and magazines. I will be your own personal paper shredder ;) Along with that, your kiddo can finally legitimately say that the dog "ate his/her homework" ;) I am not interested in playing fetch. I am unsure if I am a water dog or not.

?I know food aggression and resource guarding are common with rescue dogs. I have not shown signs of having either in my foster home. It is important that this is something my family be aware of and still monitor should they have other dogs in my new home. Always better to be prepared just in case ?

? I do great with other dogs. I want to be friends with every dog I see and want to play with them soon after!

? I am being fostered around cats and do well with them.

?I have been around kids and have done great with them! I am a total lovebug! I can be pretty playful, though, so they should be out of their toddler stage.

? I am potty, and the few times I have been in a kennel have done fine. When no one is home, I stay in the kitchen with access to the doggie door and do great. At night, I sleep in my foster's bedroom on a doggie bed.

?I have not shown to be a big barker in my foster home. Given my energy level and love to run around outside, I would not be a candidate for apartment living. I walk well on a leash and do well on car rides.

?I am being fostered in Collinsville, OK. We do not send our dogs on transports or ship them. This means my new family needs to pick me up, even if they are out of state.

?My adoption fee is $225. That includes DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordatella shots. I will be micro-chipped, heart-worm tested, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.

??To My New Family (Part 2)??

I am very ready to find my forever family, however, I want to make sure that not only am I a good fit for you but that you are a good fit for me! Below you will find some of the things that I hope for in my new home

My ideal home would be one that has another playful dog. I am quite playful and energetic and always looking for something to do. If my owner is home all day and very active, I may do fine as an only dog. I am not talking a walk or two, though. I am talking about going on runs/jogs, trips to the dog park, going for hikes, and much more! Once everyone has settled in for the day, I love coming for cuddles and lovings!

Thinking we were made to be the best of friends? If so, please apply to adopt me at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app

Thanks for letting me share my story with you.
Sincerely
Kodie ♥
