Koda Walworth Kramer's Story

The Kramer family has chosen to sponsor the costs of transport and medical care for the 17 Walworth dogs as a Christmas gift in honor of all our fur babies we have lost over the years and all my friends' fur babies that have also crossed the Rainbow Bridge - none will ever be forgotten. Our Christmas wish is that each of the Walworth-furred ones find loving homes where they are cherished. Merry Christmas sweet Pups! Love, Cheryl, Dave, Ryan, and Cassie Kramer

Koda was born around August 1, 2020 and weighs about 12 pounds. Joyful received a message asking for help in the Rochester area with a home that had 30 dogs. The humans started taking in dogs that no one wanted and after a few years, they became overwhelmed and asked for help.

Koda loves his people and is a very affectionate lap dog! He's house trained, loves to play with his toys and is good with other dogs but will chase cats. Koda walks well on leash and is a 'shadow', always with his people.

We recommend a home with no small children as he can get 'snarly” if you try to do something that he doesn’t like - like picking him up when he’s not in the mood to get picked up. (although he has never bitten in foster care)
Koda is an absolute sweet, fun “love bug” and a joy to be around! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.

Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES

We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.

Can't Adopt Me? Joyful Rescues's Adoption Policy
By adopting a pet you are not only helping the pet you adopt but also others in or needing to come into rescue. Your adoption helps us to keep doing what we do to help area animals stop reproducing and find quality homes for the homeless while providing them the best care we can. Your new family member will take considerable time, attention, patience and money to be properly cared for. Think of your new addition as your baby!! It is not a lawn ornament to be tied in your yard or kept in a basement. Consider the ultimate size of a young pet, how big of a pet can you handle??
