Koda's Story
Koda is a gentle giant and the shelter’s resident polar bear. Not only is he a true teddy bear, but he is the most handsome boy. Koda came to the shelter from Pueblo as a stray so not much is known about his history. He loves people and other dogs. Despite his big size, Koda is a little bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to small children (it may just be all of the noise). A home with older kids or no kids would be preferred. Despite his fear of small kids, Koda is very nurturing and interested in the puppies at the shelter, so we believe that he would kid along with smaller dogs as well. Koda is working on his leash manners, specifically not pulling. Koda knows the command for “sit” and is working on taking treats nicely (he doesn’t bite, just hasn’t learned where the treat ends and your hand begins). Koda has had no experiences with cats.
