Meet Koda
Hi, my name is Koda! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Friendly, curious, vocal, adventurous, snuggly
-Can Live with Kids: Yes, Koda previously lived with kids and did well. We are recommending older, dog-savvy kids aged 8+.
-Can Live with Cats: Koda did well with the cats in his previous home and should be okay to do so again! He will need slow, supervised introductions to any new cats to be sure they get along.
-Can Live with Dogs: Potentially with just the right match. Koda lived successfully with a dachshund in his previous home, but was reportedly attacked by a large, off-leash dog at some point and can now be standoffish/selective with some dogs. He'd do best with a mellow, tolerant dog who mostly lets him do his own thing. Any potential canine housemates will need to meet at the shelter first to ensure they're a good match.
-Can do Apartment Living: No, Hounds are not well suited for apartment life. This active, curious guy would love a home with a large fenced property to explore!
-Potty Trained: Appears to be!
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: No
-Energy Level: Medium/high
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes - neuter/microchip
Additional Information: Koda is a friendly, goofy guy who embodies all the typical Hound traits we know and love! He has an excellent singing voice and would do best in a home where his family (and their neighbors) can appreciate his vocal range. Koda would likely do well with most types of families- he has lived with kids before and seems to enjoy most people he meets. Koda is a silly dog who loves to play and get into trouble. Adopters with Hound experience are strongly preferred!
