Kobe has beautiful soulful eyes that say "I love you" and a loyal, calm personality that brings the feeling of a cozy blanket whenever he is near. When Kobe was up north, he was a tad unsure in the mayhem of where he was staying, but since being liberated, this boy is snout in the air, non-stop tail wagging happy pappy!

Kobe might be considered on the slightly smaller side of labrador sizes - around 50 lbs, - and at 4 years old, he's done with all the silliness of youth and now he's left with the best characteristics of an already delectable personality. Kobe starts his day with an offleash leg stretch and his snout is out and active in case a rabbit or squirrel scent or sight is there to be followed. When he catches a sniff, he is off with his tail wagging like a trained field dog but he always comes back to find his foster mum who is totally chill with how far he explores - she knows the northerns always come back.

Kobe is an absolute gem in the house and lives happily with other dogs and a clan of kitties. While he has a high chase drive outside, he has zero for the inside animals with whom he coexists. He will find a place to lie down near his person and snooze the day away until it's time for him to head out for another offleash adventure with his pals. When he finds you up and about, he will wander over with a tail wag and look up for a head scritch.

Kobe had a family up north that included kids so he has been well handled by little people. Kobe would be happy with older, gentle children and like any dog who has experience with children, gentle, respectful family members are welcome.

Kobe is currently fostering with other northern dogs of both genders and he is good with all of them. That being said, Kobe does not love all males on introduction and does best with proper male intros. After that, he basically ignores them and is fine being together whether on a walk or in the house. Kobe's reason for being, however, is people. He's heard about having one of his own and he is waiting patiently until they find him. People are adoration worthy and Kobe is ready to be the adore-er.

Like so many homeless dogs right now, Kobe is looking for his very own peeps. He wants love and affection and who wouldn't want to give that to this beautiful face?

If you like to hike, walk trails, have a cottage, and lots of love to give, this guy is looking to be your copilot in life. Car ride. Yup, great in the car, Forest walks. Yessirree, give me those squirrels. Dog bed. Um.... Yes please!

Kobe is up to date on core vaccinations, dewormed, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $750. He is currently fostering in the Caledon area.

**A consult with IFAW’s partner dog centric behaviourist is mandatory for anyone interested in adopting Kobe at a cost of $80. This consult gets everyone on the same page and well on their way to success.

Adoption process includes application, virtual home visit, phone interview, reference check, meet & greet, adoption contract and $750 adoption fee.
